With more than twenty years of experience investing in private technology companies around the world, I’ve worked with tech founders and startups across all stages. I’ve cultivated long-lasting partnerships with a diverse set of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs, supported by relationships built over decades with institutional investors and limited partners. I have been a contributor in both capital and knowledge to the success of category-defining tech companies and helped build one of Europe’s iconic independent venture capital firms from the ground.
Career highlights for me include wrangling the first-ever Asian internet IPOs on NASDAQ and opening APAC markets for global tech companies. Over two decades working in New York, Tokyo, London, and Hong Kong, I’ve partnered with entrepreneurs from the most diverse backgrounds and cultivated expertise in areas ranging from communication software, open source data infrastructure, online gaming, enterprise SaaS, content distribution, vertical farming, fintech and beyond.
Previously, I was a general partner at Atomico, where I spent 15 years sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments worldwide. As a member of the firm’s leadership team, I oversaw investment decisions across four institutional funds and managed key relationships with company founders and institutional limited partners. I headed the investment team from 2020 to 2022 and led Atomico’s investments into MessageBird, Aiven, Stripe, Compass, Sorare, MasterClass, Framer, Clutter, and dozens of other companies over a decade and a half.
Before joining Atomico, I was a senior advisor to the co-founders of Skype and helped the company execute expansion in Asia. I began my career in New York as an investment banker on Wall Street.
I’m currently based in London, investing in and advising high-growth private tech companies as well as technology investment funds internationally. I am passionate about backing diverse, world-class founders and tenacious teams; the more far-reaching the endeavor, the more game-changing the possibilities, the greater the reward.
